my daughter is 2 1/2 years old and I still use one. It gives me peace of mind to be able to hear her if she needs me or wakes up. There is no right or wrong time to stop using one in my eyes...my 10 and 8 year olds are lucky I dont still use one in their rooms (LOL).

Whatever you feel comfortable with. My daughter is 14 months old and her room is right next to ours. But, my husband & I are both heavy sleepers and we close her door. We keep the monitor on really low, so it just amplifies a little. I think they're a great way to get some peace of mind...for as long as you want, or need.

I used mine until I felt comfortable leaving my child in a room alone. I used it to just help me when I would be in the other room or at night time to know if she got out of bed. There is no set time. I've considered pulling it out and using it on my teenager a time or two. lol. We need all the extra help we can get as parents.

my daughter is 6 months and i dont use it anymore, we moved to a new house and her room is right next to ours so i can hear her since im not a heavy sleeper anymore. also, she sleeps all night long so i dont think there is much need for it.
also the main reason we stopped using it was because it always picked up other people who had the same monitor, and you could hear other people all night.

Its a harmless device used to monitor your child while they are sleeping, so use it as long as necessary. My aunt used hers for her 2 year old as he always got out of bed when she put him in there, so this way she could keep an "ear" on him.

nicely I commence out utilising them if i'm no longer interior the room yet in the previous lengthy it variety of feels I only ignore to instruct it on. I gave up on them a lengthy time period in the past after my neighbor might want to hear my toddler because human beings having an similar exhibit screen on an similar frequency. that is a worry-free difficulty you may %. up on different issues with them that is scary, i did not pick human beings listening to my conversations (similar with cordless telephones). yet another ingredient is they do provide off small doses of radiation so the longer you take advantage of them the further publicity, no longer some thing i needed to ought to fret about both.

I stopped using it with my daughter when she was 3 months old, but we had such a small apartment, I could always hear her. My stepmother used one with my little sister til she was 6, because her room was across the house and my sister had nightmares. Depends on what you're comfortable with.

It all depends on your purpose. Honey let me tell you I have a 6year old a 5 year old and a 18months old and I still use it in my kids toy room they don't know but while there playing in the toy room mommy can hear everything that is going on in there. It eliminates alot of petty arguements because I can hear who started it, who said it, or who hit who.

I only used it when we had bbq's. My house isn't really big enough to use one, but if we were outside then I would bring the monitor out w/ me.
