At least once a week a quick check and your done and then you will know. As your walking up to yur car in a parking lot always just glance under the car from a distance and see any wet spots. it could be you or the guy that just left but it is a good check. ive caught coolent leaks and power steering leaks like that. I mean if your had your air on you will get condesation water drips but they always go to the same place and yu will know the differance Just stay aware of your car most dont and then stuff happens

THe oil needs changed every 3000 miles. THis is part of regular maintenance. If you have found a good mechanic to do this for you every time you take your car in the will check everything else for you at that time and will see anything else that may need attention in the future i.e. brakes, belts, tires, exhaust etc. Also you should not have water in your engine it should be antifreeze and that is something that should be checked when the oil change is done as well. I hate to say take your car to the dealership because they tend to be more exspensive but they can be the one that will do the most checking. Stay away from those quick oil change places, they tend to be crooks. Honestly I like walmart then are inexspensive and do a pretty good job at checking everything.

Once in a while, like every 3 months. I live in California, so the weather is not an issue. But average like every 3-4 months. You should consider doing it, you can save a lot of money, because if you run your engine without oil, you can damage the engine, and that is VERY costy.

I drive a lot. So I am checking it usually every 1,500 miles or so. My blond daughter has figured out YET even after me telling her, to check it. She thinks when the little sticker for the oil change is due that's when it gets done. Aye aye aye.

Well I have quite low mileage so I check them when I'm going on any long trip. I check my tires about once a month though....
