other sounds can be heard like when it starts up.but when i want to listin to a song it shows its playing but i cant hear anything.

ok so if its my sound settings.how do i get there?

it also says that when i go to volume,no audio device.wtf? everyother sounds work!

First guess would be that you have digital speakers and you sound settings are set on 'analog' and not auto-sense

Can you hear through earphones, if not you've probably uninstalled your sound card. I done that on my laptop once. If you search realtek audio output and install that you will most likely be able to hear it. Unless you have uninstalled the driver too, I'm not sure if you get drivers for speakers but if you search the make of your speakers in google then drivers you should find a sutable driver for your speakers. e.g I.t works speaker drivers

If you see a little speaker icon in your system tray, click on it to open and see if you have your speaker volume on "Mute". You'll see a check in the box on the MUTE option. Also it could be the sound is turned down in there too.

that usually means your headphone jack has gunk in it. attempt cleansing it out with some blasts of compressed air or strip down a Q-Tip, dip it into Windex and swirl it around the jack.
