could anyone tell me how far the riu cancun is from coco bongos and all the other clubs an night life

@fresa: with all due respect....i don't know where you have your information from....but you've got it all wrong.
hello,
#1) the "Riu Cancun" is within 2-3 minutes walking distance of the "Coco Bongo" and the majority of all the other big clubs like "Dady O","Dady Rock","Bulldog","Azucar" (salsa-club) and an endless number of smaller bars as well as restaurants.
#2) it's correct....the "riu cancun" is located close to "punta cancun...and that's exactly where you want to stay if you are looking for nightlife in cancun.for shopping and entertainment the "riu cancun" has one of the best...if not THE best...location in cancun.
#3) coco bongo is NOT right next to the hilton...not even close.the hilton is approx. 7 miles away...almost at "punta nizuc".
#4) the only "riu" a little further away is the "riu caribe cancun" (about 2.5 miles,and by the way:it is not as nice as the "riu cancun")...so even this one is not as far from coco bongo as the hilton.
#5) there are buses going up and down the so known "hotel-zone"....but forget about a/c or even tv.you will not find such things in public citybuses.(and there are no other buses from private companys.only if you want to go to playa del carmen for example (or any other city),they do have a/c and tv.if you plan to do such thing the name of the company is ADO and they leave from the busstation at avenida tulum,down-town cancun)
i do live in the riviera maya (cancun and playa del carmen) since more than a decade and went to coco bongo at least...what?...a 100 times?

It would be a max of 5 minutes walk from RIU Cancun to Coco Bongos, Hard Rock, Corona Bar and most other good night clubs

Coco Bongo is next to the hilton cancun, in this interactive map you can see the Hilton is the 10th from right to left.
The riu hotel is on the othe rend of the island, near punta cancun,
is very far away, but there is buses which they are cheap and some even have ac and TV's so you can use those at night, and they run all night so you can go party and back in you hotel no problem, there is also taxis all over the place but those will charge you much more. use the bus..

The Rui hotel is in the hotel zone. The Rui is in walking distance from the RUI.

its well whit in walking distance, right next to plaza caracol, or you can take a cab witch will be pretty expensive or you can take the bus for 50 cents US
