Me and my boyfriend are finally about to get intimate but I just need to know what will it be like, so I decided to ask a whole bunch of people who have already had experience.

Well I remember being nervous and excited all at the same time. I remember that it was nothing like as successful as it is shown in the movies and I remember that we were both slightly embarrassed after the event.

That said, it was a night I would not have spent any other way.

Needless to say, only go ahead if you are (both) totally comfortable. Don't either of you be pressured into action. Take it slowly. Also, make it a special night. Do something first: go have a meal & see a movie. Make the place where you do become intimate something special too. Soft music, lit candles, petals on the bed - anything to enrich the atmosphere.

ALSO, be SAFE & LEGAL! Use a rubber and don't commit to doing something when one or both of you are under the age of consent.

Finally, you do realise that this is the LGBT category and not a general sex ed category, don't you?

First - use birth control!

It will be scary, exciting, probably not last anywhere as long as you may think, anything from uncomfortable..hurting a bit..to wonderful. All different for everyone, but the 1st time is never the 'best' sex, but it can add to the relationship if you are ready. A lot of emotional baggage...regrets..love it..lol

be safe!

Was awesome. She tasted lovely. I'm just kind of curious, though. Why would you ask a question about straight sex to the GLBT people? I had sex with a man once and I hated it. It was gross, it was inappropriate, it was ICK! I'm never doing that again, I don't think.

I think it's funny how you just automatically assume that people here have had sex alot. Unfortuanately, you're probably right.

I have to say, I doubt you should probably be having sex with your boyfriend. Chances are, it will be painful, messy and just generally unpleasant. It almost always is the forst time. But when you love someone, it's not like that. When you give yourself out of love you enjoy it whether it hurts or not.

My first time was with my fiance and it was the consumation of our relationship. That was what tied us tigether, not the actual marrigae ceremony. Sex should only ever be an act of love. When you really love someone sex is the most wonderful thing in the world.

When you don't, it's just flesh on flesh.

Depends if you are with a guy who is willing to take it slow and make sure you are comfortable. Either way it won't be the most pleasant ordeal. If I was you I would hold on to my innocence once it's gone you can't get it back and I promise you later in life you will want it back....
