i solely go on UK answers.

weird maybe, because i am in the states.
(but i'm not one of those americans that answers questions that relate to UK law or places to hang out or buy things)

but since i will be moving to the UK in a few years, UK answers is as close as i can get for now.

...please forgive my babbling...i just got off work and should really be sleeping now.

ANYWAY...i was on UK answers, as i always am, and i answered one question somewhere and got on a bit of a roll and suddenly realized i ended up on US answers. now...i love the US, but it just didn't feel right being there. i didn't recognize anyone...the questions weren't the same types of questions...it just didn't feel "comfy", and i checked the site, and i saw i wasn't in the UK anymore.

so i went back to UK answers, and saw some familiar avvys, and saw the types of questions i am so accustomed to seeing, and i was instantly at ease.

have you ever done this???

and it used to bug me when i would see brits talking about how americans don't understand sarcasm and irony, and we just don't get british humor...but my accidental plunge into US answers showed me that there IS a difference. i guess i just didn't notice so much because i have just felt so comfortable here.

anyway...time for sleep. thanks for listening.

I did it once, but then the pond dried up and all the hippo-froggies went East for the wet season and that dramatically and adversely impacted the Yellow Bow-legged Herons that depend solely on the hippo froggies as a meal source so they went into deep huddles of misery to commiserate their pain with all the Walking Stick Salamanders who hard-heartedly refused to replace the hippo-froggies on the menu for the Yellow Bow-legged Herons. And have you noticed at all that the words Yellow Bow-legged Herons and Walking Stick Salamanders are capitalized like proper nouns but hippo-froggies is not and I think that is rather odd, but that is the way it is in the book "Guide to Scavenging Meals" which is a really fascinating book and I heartily recommend it to one and all.
Whew!
God, I Love this place!

That was interesting and very nice....Thank you for telling us Brits. I do believe there is a difference in humour but it's all part of the fun...and we really do give George Bush some stick too! Good idea to acquaint yourself with some of our funny ideas before you get here...we can be a bit weird too.....Good Luck

Ummm... you're very sweet when you ramble. Yes, I have - I ended up on YA answers US and I was quite perplexed! I reckon it's a language thing. I truly believe that Americans speak American as opposed to English, and if you don't believe me you should read Made in America by Bill Bryson.

LMAO.
Hi Soren,
You are so cute and you don't even know it.

I am glad you are comfortable here. I have never been to another Y! Answers site, either on purpose or by accident, but I am glad you have chosen to spend your time with us.

Do you know where you want to move in the UK?

Americans and Brits may use the same language but that's about where the similarities begin and end

I have not in any respect finished that before. I did, regardless of the indisputable fact that, commence licking the glass and make obscene gestures with my fingers. Then the motorcar in the back of me honked at the same time as the mild grew to grow to be eco-friendly.

No, and you made me dizzy with your question and I don't even live in the USA or the UK, but in China.
