This is my first pregnancy and one of the ultrasounds was found to not look normal so now I have to have testing done at the end of the week. I'm going to have the chronic villi test with a catheder and others that I am not sure about. I am very afraid about what they will find out and also about getting these tests. I don't know if they are painful. I have never had a catheder. I am looking for anybody who has gone through this, if there is anything you can tell me about what you have been through. Please say a prayer for my baby. Also please don't respond by saying I don't need these tests because they tell me I do. Please don't write to me unless you have actually had these tests done because I already posted this question and most of the responsed were people who hadn't been through this telling me I don't them done. Thanks.

Yes, you do need to find out what's going on so they can fix the problem before your baby is born. I had a dam catheter, the key is to give in to letting the nurses do their job, I know it's hard, but if you fight them you WILL hurt and because you have a baby inside of you, they can't give you anything. The doctors thought something was wrong with my son, he came into this world at 34 wks at 7lbs and is now 7 years old on the 7th of Feb. in 2007. My cuz went through a battery of test, because their was a problem with her son's heart, but they fixed the problem, before he was even born. Her little boy is 4 years old now and very healthy.Try not to stress yourself out, because your baby knows when you do and not good to get yourself worked up. Good luck, and if you have any questions about test please feel free to write me through this site.
