Ovulation does NOT always happen on day 14 of your cycle--it happens 10-16 days before your next period starts. The fertile cervical mucus can vary from woman to woman but you do need to check for it at the same time each day. It is more reliable to check internally. Wash your hands and find a comfortable position. Insert 1 or 2 fingers into your vagina and when you pull them out see what the fluid feels and looks like. Fertile fluid will feel slimey, and when you put your fingers together and slowly pull them apart it will stretch several inches. It is also clear fluid--maybe with a streak of red or white.

Not all women have discharge that is noticable. I would seriously try some other methods of determining ovulation. If you have sex every other day from about day 12 of your cycle to about day 20 you should hit ovulation. Sperm can live up to 4 days inside you. Also stress lowers your discharge and chances of conceiving. So just relax and let nature take its course. If you have tried for over a year see your doctor. Good Luck.

The discharge varies from woman to woman. Some have a lot and some have very little. As far as the color it varies from clear to milky looking. You can always take an ovulating kit and use it to help you form a base line. However if you think your ovulating then you need to get busy! Good luck ttc.

I'm a guy and I don't know much about the discharge but I do know that you temperature will rise one degree at the point of ovulation. Hope that helps a little.

Sweetie... your chances of getting pregant are a lot better if you just relax and have fun. Don't sweat all this medical stuff. Getting pregnant is like falling in love. You find love when you stop looking so hard for it - same with getting pregnant. Just stop the birth control, find the romance - not just sex for procreation - and make a baby from LOVE.

Even if you don't see or feel anything you may have started to ovulate. Try waiting until 2morrow.
