I would go to resale shops and buy a couple of pants that way you aren't wasting money. Or you can buy a pair of pants that are adjustable and that will last your whole pregnancy.

From what you have said, a bellaband (or similar) might be a good option. You can use your old pants unbuttoned and just put the band over the top.

I'm at 15 or so weeks here and starting to pooch a little. At the very least, having something tight-feeling on my stomach is a no-go. I hate to say it, but, honestly, I've been using a lot of jogging suits with a nice soft waist (hey, they can be cute, too LOL).

If I worked, I'd go for the bellaband, though. Those in-between maternity clothes are just (to me anyway) a waste of cash. You just don't use them long enough to get much out of them and just buying bigger sizes doesn't work either. Usually the waist is too rigid for comfort and then the butt/thighs are too huge so the fit just looks terrible.

Good luck!

Just because you are pregnant doesnt mean that you have to start buying maternity clothes, just buy them when you feel you need the extra space. If you're current clothes are too small because that bump is just a little bit big then wear your trousers lower and there are lots of new 60's style dresses that'll cover your bump and not show that your trousers are lower than usual!

good luck with everything!

I started wearing maternity clothes at 12 weeks even though I didn't show until long after that. I just found them more comfy. They are not a waste of money because you still have 22 weeks of pregnancy to go, and will probably want to carry on wearing them for a while after the baby is born. That's a lot of months of wear!

I've started wearing maternity clothes, and I'm only 12 weeks. I refused to continue to buy bigger and bigger sizes as my relatively small pants grew uncomfortable. Lots of maternity clothes have cinches at the sides, so they actually grow with you. At least that way you don't have a closet filled with ever larger sizes of pants, which you won't need after pregnancy.

I don't think it is too early to buy maternity clothes - especially if you buy the trousers with the adjustable waist band - they'll last you all the way through the pregnancy then and you wont feel as though you've wasted money on them if you can wear them from earlier on through your pregancy

you can buy a bump belt which you wear over your trousers so when they dont do up but you are not big enough to get maternity wear people cant see that your trousers are not done up properly.

Have a look at bizi bump on Ebay. they are about £10 and fantastic. I have them as I am in the same situation.

Hi
Lucky you!!!! if a size bigger is too big just get your size but elasticated waist (not old bidder type ha ha) M&S do great bootleg stretch elastic waist trousers should do just the job. I used to buy bigger sizes until I needed proper maternity clothes.

Good luck with pregnancy x

You may want to check at your local maternity store for this band of fabric that allows you to wear your regular pants but covers up the zipper and fastener as you expand. It allowed me to wear some of my jeans up until I had my son. I could not stand maternity pants. I couldn't seem to find any that I liked the fit.
