I am just curious to see how many people know about the events happening in Sudan, Africa right now, particularly the Darfur region. You can just say yes or no, unless you'd like to elaborate more. Thanks so much!

Of course I do. I read the "World" section of two newspapers every day.

I wonder why the U.S. and other world powers seem to be only "concerned" with Irak, when an almost 400,000 people are said to have died so far in the Darfur conflict.

(Actually, I do know why THAT is)

Yes, the mainline media is playing it down, but over a million Christian and other Africans have been killed by the Muslims taking over there. The UN wont do anything about it, because there are predominately Muslim.

Due to extremely poor government, war, and prevailing barbarism, the people are suffering. This same thing is happening in about half of the countries in Africa. Say what you will, but those people are not capable of governing themselves.

I'm not sure if I know the very recent details (I know the Ethiopians have been fighting the terrorists there), but I think I'll go with Pale Rider's guess... muslims are just being "good muslims" and obeying their psycho's command to kill more infidels.

I think it is called genocide... then again, this will only officially be established in 10 or 20 years, when it is too late

Yes, I know what is happening. Something needs to be done. I am very thankful for actor George Clooney who is helping.

No, nor do I really care. I'm more worried about what's happening on the home front.
