HD = High Definition (ie. HDTV)

Some HDTV channels are broadcast over antenna just like using rabbit ears on a TV to get your local stations (ie. ABC, NBC, and CBS). The All In Wonder has the capability of receiving the HD broadcast and sending it to your computer. However if your monitor does not support viewing of HDTV, then you won't be able to experience the HD feature and it will show as regular TV or not at all on your monitor. Usually going to the manufacturers website for your monitor and looking up the product will tell you if your monitor is capable of HDTV playback.

Well, it's because you can recieve off the air HDTV broadcasts. Those card have built in ATSC tuners. ATSC is the way HDTV signals are delivered.

Believe it or not, TV signals are actually broadcsat for FREE!! You don't have to have cable or dish to watch TV.

All you need is an HDTV antenna to plug into your card (you may have recieved one in the box when you bought your card) and you can watch HDTV on your TV.

Of course, just like the radio in your car, you need to be within range of a signal to watch.
