I'll excuse your use of the word dominance which is a little vague, as you haven't said in what way you mean that.

However, The US has a LOT of media for which Americans rely on television coverage. They apparently do not read newspapers much. A LOT of money, money, money would be your answer as to why there are 3,000 US journalists covering a single incident, it seems.

American media is unique because it is American.
British media is unique because it is British and has BBC.
Canadian media is unique because it is Canadian and has CBC

American media is unique in that it does not have a government-funded broadcasting system.

It is true in many ways. I can't say that everyone in all those other overseas countries hate Amercans, however, the possibility of a large fraction of the population in countries in which are not our allies, do have some resentment against Americans. And the same is true of many fellow Americans also, in fact, most people have some prejudice against someone of their non nationality....
