9. A Nightmare on Elm Street
10. Seven (Very good)
11. The Omen
12. Night of the Living Dead
13. The Hitcher
14. The Evil Dead (Sam Raimi's first movie)

The Omen 1 2 and 3 - very creepy, and definitely classic

The ORIGINAL House on Haunted Hill if you want classic king of horror Vincent Price, and the remake if you want something a little effed up

Burial Ground and House by the Cemetary- 2 hilarious Italian films about etruscan zombies and a monster named Freudstein

The Blair Witch Project, scares the pants off me everytime.

The original Black Christmas. Absolutely scary.

There's tons of horror movies out there. If none if the answers sound appealing, I'd say search on Amazon.com for a list or browse your local blockbuster.

1) The Excorcist - damned scary and results in a no score draw between good and evil
2) The Ring (Japanese Version) - You will never look at little girls the same way agaih
3) The Legend of Hell House (1973) - Great atmospheric film
4) The Thing - It is tense enclosed atmosphere, great effects, genuine suspense
5) Alien - Ok technically a sci-fi movie as well but damned good

Hope that helps.

Can't list all the must-sees for you, but be sure to sell all the "Hellraiser" movies...The "Friday the 13th" and "Nightmare on Elm Street" movies were more hacker/gore, so if you're into that be sure to check them out. Oh, you might also want to check out Rob Zombie's horror flicks...

After reading the book, I really liked The Shining miniseries version, better than the original. But you just can't beat Jack Nicholson for being creepy.

Also good:
The Haunting
What Lies Beneath
The Exorcist
Scream (the first one, after that they just got dumb)
The Bad Seed (an old black and white, but CREEPY!)
