My bf's car wont start because its so damn cold outside..and we havent seen each other in 4 days..im going crazy. Any idea's on how to get it running again?

It has only been like 10 dregees even lower.. his car is stuck at his work since saturday or friday night..Wont start

are u sure hes telling u the truth ? sounds a little suspious to me , sure its not working , maybe hes seeing someone else , ever think of that? and if its true ( about the car ) how can anyone answer without any info at all about the car , think before u ask , duh

You need to get the battery warmer so it can function. Take some blankets and get them warmed (on your heater, in your dryer or whatever) then put something like a garbage bag over the battery and put the blanket on top. The garbage bag is to keep the blanket from getting acid on it. You could even put a heating pad on top to keep it warmer. After it's had 15 minutes to warm a bit take it all off again (including the plastic bag!) and try the car. When it starts let it run for at least 10 minutes to warm the engine some.It sometimes needs to be repeated in extreme cold. Many people here (VT) have battery warmers they leave on at night!

Try putting a drop light inside the engine compartment to help keep the battery, anti-freeze and oil a bit warmer.
You can also put a blanket over the engine .
Or try bringing your battery inside to keep it warm overnite.
And of course put some HEAT liquid in the gas to help keep it from freezing.

Probably needs a jump start. The cold will kill a battery easy.

The battery will have died with the cold weather, he'll need to jump start it or fit a new battery.
