I don't remember a whole lot about it, but when I was younger (I am in my early 30's now), went to the movies and saw some movie that all I remember is this boy was in his room, (I think he was supposed to be going to bed, or something..)and the one wall like disappeared and he was in space or something...then I believe in the end, I think I remember either him or someone opening a microwave and then there was something from space??meteor?? or something black...Not a whole lot to go on, I know...the kid was like maybe 10 yrs. old..dark hair...I think in one spot they were like in space on these big white circle things...gosh...I really don't remember hardly anything, but it is bugging me!! Sorry for the lack of clues, but if it rings a bell w/ anyone, PLEASE let me know!! Thanks!!

metal_goddess08 is correct the movie is 'Time Bandits' directed by Terry Gilliam. It was a chunk of the devil played by David Warner in the microwave.

There is a scene when the boy is in his room and the Time Bandits, a band of midgets (no offence meant by that word), who appear in his room and they all start pushing one of his walls and it slides further and further back down a hallway until it falls away revealing the universe.
