I agree with the nut part but I've never spent a wedge on them - ever!

I would never spend anything on pistachio nuts. I had my first one two years ago and it was horrible - I had to spit it out. I don't know how anyone can eat them. I wonder if it was a bad one as it was a really disgusting taste. I love xashew nuts and pecan nuts and will eat them till I'm sick.

I use a nutcracker to try and open them. If not I'll tap them lightly with a small hammer on a wooden chopping board and see if I can eat the nut inside.
