Every person has " Compassion " its just that some people do-not know how to show it and how to use it.

you can not say no one has compassion. some of us have compassion.
and yes some users of answers because of the points system treat this like it is a game.
in reality it is down to every user of answers to use their brains to think before typing in an answer, remembering that we were all young once and the education systems around the world in general are a disgrace. so some of those who want to know bypass the libraries in seek of a quick fix so post a question on here (y!answers). I'm not saying it is right or wrong for the kids to use the site, but parents too should take some responsibility to monitor what the kids are doing on-line.
any kids under 18 should have the computer in a family room where a parent can easily look over and monitor what is happening on screen.
remember too that if you get abuse etc, you can report that to yahoo quite easily. in answers you have the option to report a user for example. but in general all websites generally have an email address where you can report any abuse of its servers.
i don't know what questions and answers you are referring too, but life is like that full of all kinds of people, some don't care, some who treat everything as a joke, and some who will always try to help if they can.

Well..I for one do have compassion....and may of my answers have been chosen "best answer" by quite a few young people...and I try to give them the best advice I can, based on my personal experience.. I think it works both ways..some kids are only on here for what they think will shock someone...unfortunately, some people seem to care little for others...or they are just here for "fun and games" never realizing that sometimes what they say can really hurt others...or care..I suppose there is no way to "monitor" out the idiots...we just have to learn to live around them (as in real life..)...I think if more people would just IGNORE them, they would eventually go away...

When a question is asked on a public forum, you're going to get all kinds of answers, some rude, some helpful, some just plain mean.
Just know that the majority of people want to help, especially innocent children. You may want to try finishing your question with a statement such as "Please, serious answers only". Try not to generalize so much. There are some kind and compassionate people who want to help.

If you can google something and get the answer that will satisfy your question then you shouldn't waste the bandwidth to ask it.
But instead of being considerate they add to the sizeable amount of clutter and eventually someone barges into their question and takes them down a peg or two.

Explain then how you expect us to know whether it's a child asking a question or just a time waster.

Because they are probably miserable little people who want everyone else to feel miserable with them. After all misery loves company.
