I want to block an ex-boyfriend who insists on calling me ALL the time even though I've told him countless times that I really just don't want to talk to him anymore. Is there a way to block someone from calling your cell phone? I have Cingular Wireless.

If he always calls you from an unblocked number, you can put that number in your address book and assign a silent ring to it.

If he blocks his number you could do something similar, but it would make all blocked calls silent (don't know if that is what you'd want).

Other than that there is no way, other than changing your number (cost is $36).

I am sure there is a way but I don't know if it is a free service. I would contact Cingular to see. If they are no help and this harrassment continues (you have told him to stop) then I would contact the authorities and try to get a restraining order where he may not call you or come to your residence/job. I hope this helps and I hope he gets the picture (and a new hobby).

To my knowledge, blocking incoming calls is not possible on most cellular companies. You will want to call Cingular and ask. Most likely you will need to change your number and not give it to him...i know that may be hard, but its also guaranteed.
