I'm a Celtic fan, so I'm biased, but if I had to start a team today with either Paul or Pierce, I would go with Chris Paul, because of his youth, and the fact that he's a star already as a point guard. Pierce is still a more dominant player now and its tough to compare them due to their different roles, but for starting a team I go with Chris. The better player right now is still Paul Pierce though.

Both are talented but I pick Chris Paul because he seems like a better leader than Paul Pierce.

they are both good at the position they play. chris paul is a point guard which means he gives the ball to whoever is open. he gets more assists and makes good plays. pierce on the other hand plays the forward and occasionaly switch over to the 2 postition and he has been in the league alot longer and he has matured his game...he can score anytime he wants. they are both studs but you cant compare a shooting guard/small forward to a point guard cause they play two differnt roles. honestly if i was to put this question better i would say whos better iverson or chris paul? def iverson cause he has age. but watch out iverson next year chris paul is going to have a superb season

Depends on the style of your team. If you need a scorer then Paul pierce. If you need a player to get the ball to your scorer's the chris paul.

two different players, paul is a better point guard, pierce is a better shooting gaurd. Paul is a playmaker, Pierce is a shooting and driving machine. One on one Pierce takes the cake.

your comparing apples and oranges, a point gaurd to a shooter.. who's better at what? passing - paul, shooting - pierce, defense - paul. clutchness - pierce, etc... you could go on for while, but they have two totally different roles...
