I'm on SSI and child support is vital. I file all paperwork that is requested of me and I'm always told that the law does'nt enforce child support like it's not important for children to be provided for, what happend to the law of no child left behind. I hope that the Mayer will stop running around the city and enforce child support. Why is it not evident that child support helps feed a child, helps clothe a child, helps a custodial parent give a child what they may need for that month. I feel that non-custodial parents should be jailed if they choose not to work because their wages will be garnished or not file taxes in my case so the child support is not taken. It's only obvious that they are criminals avoiding a court ordered obligation. Mr. Mayer step up to the plate, get to something that is very improtant to the state of California, the children and their well being.

the honor system doesnt work, thats been proven. the No Child Left Behind Act is for our public school systems (accountability of the schools/teachers to teach in a positive lawful manner).

so, i think you need to write a letter. if your cry for help is being ignored, then you need some heat on the case. the mayor isnt going to do squat, nor will the DA, they just tell you what you want to hear... you need to pull rank.

so, sit down and write a letter. in it give your contact info, case number, his info, arrears amount and problem. tell them you are not asking for legal advice, you just want to ask what they are doing about this deadbeat. ask why there is not a tax refund intercept in place, warrant for arrest, leins, etc. make the letter short.

then FAX it (not mail) it the following:

1) your state Attorney General
2) your states Governor
3) your caseworker
4) the Regional FEDERAL Child Support Office.

Faxing the letter is proof you sent it and they recieved it. phone calls are ignored, denied and/or forgotten. Mail ends up in someones 'to do' pile... but FAXS are effective.

if you get no response, fax it again. fax it once a week if need be. the squeaky wheel gets the oil, and sooner or later, they will want to shut you up.

It was my understanding that non-custodial parents are either jailed, or wages garnished or whatever (I used to process payroll, and I plenty of wages I was garnishing for child support across 39 states). The big problem is in actually catching these people. If people don't want to be found, they're quite good at not being found. My deadbeat stepbrother is one of these people. I think he has at least 3 kids, maybe more. I don't know, don't see him. From what I've heard from those that know him, each time he changes a job, he changes a number in his social security number. He also moves so much it's hard to find him. I know where I live, they have big crack downs every few months where they go out and try to round up as many deadbeats as possible...but remember...many people just can't be found because they don't want to be.

The DA's office is not charged with enforcing child support. You need to contact the state agency that is charged with regulating and monitoring child support. In most states it is the Attorney General's office, but not always. You need to contact that agency, and they will be able to help you.

Now, if it does become a criminal matter, then they will contact the local DA to help handle this case. At this point, you are contacting the wrong person.

ok, you want to document for infant help contained in the state you're in. Adultery is rather not ordinary to coach and likewise, you may favor to imagine about what you'll do with assistance from making issues rougher on you getting funds from him. If he's charged with adultery, the position will you help come from if he now no longer has a pastime contained in the army? decrease back infant help is done by the state equipment no longer the defense force.

Give the guilty one a chance to work and /or spend time with the child. If he does none of the above he should be forced into a work camp and be casterated.
