what are the best study techniques? i really dont feel like studying and my exams are next week!!!!!!!!!

I find that flash cards work really well, depending on how many you make, I usually try to keep them to around the number of questions that will be on the test. and by reducing the volume of study you can gain knowledge faster. Also as a rule of thumb go through your flash cards 7 times. I am not sure why but 7 is thought to be the number of times for something to move from your short term working memory to long term storage.

I have more of a long-term solution to your question. If you promise yourself to study, say, 30 minutes a night for each of your classes, and continue to do this throughout the semester, the looming exams don't seem nearly as scary. You'll slowly build a base of information and knowledge. Feeding yourself the information slowly over time allows it to better anchor itself in your mind. Cramming can sometimes work, but it's a short term fix that won't really help you learn.

As for next week's exams, spend a few minutes making a schedule for when you can study for the specific exams. I like the answer about 50 minutes and then 10 stretching, and I think that will help when you start to allot time for the subjects.

Also, are you taking good notes in class? That's a helpful way to study as the lecture is happening. You're getting the information in two ways: verbally from the professor and then you are putting the information in your own langauge in your notes.

Also, mark up any important information in your textbooks. Ask questions of the authors by writing those questions down in the margins. It's a technique of active reading and will, again, help the information stick in the gray matter. Good luck!

Spend 50 minutes out of the hour studying, then get up for 10 minutes and do something physical.
This is also good for relieving eye stress.
