My question is do I still need to buy her flowers if I already bought her a iPod and spent the time and energy to fill it up with her favorite music. It's not a cheap Nano either, it's the 30gb Video one. I don't really think spending $50+ (they jack up the prices for V-Day) is worth it.

nope of course not. It all depends on what you want to do though. I wouldn't expect flowers after a present like that.

Normally, I would say skip the flowers, but since it's a long distance relationship, a cardboard box from UPS seems a bit cold. There are some better deals online, but you've missed the window of cheaper opportunity (for next year, please note: you can actually order the flowers a month before on the online retailers and hold the January price). Maybe you could contact a florist in her area. Not only will you save on the shipping charge, you may also get nicer flowers than through an online florist.

So don't buy her the 'expensive' flowers from the florist ... you can get 'really good flowers' at any grocery store, and if you 'use your imagination' you can find some really 'stand-out' arrangements by 'mixing' things like 'leaves' that are 'odd colors' (I love purple, and have a 'bouquet' with 'black' leaves that are a bright purple on their under-sides) and add just one 'stem' of some really 'fancy' flower ... my husband put my 'leaves' with a single stem of orchids ... they're very small and bright yellow with red 'spots' ... to make me a really 'Zen' bouquet. I'm afraid that since you spent 'so much time and effort' on the iPod, you're going to have to actually spend more time and effort to get the 'right flowers' for her too ... but you are ONE IN A MILLION and I hope that she treats you really well, too.

Personally I would be thrilled to just get the IPOD with my favorite music on it. To me the flowers wouldn't mean as much to me. but if you feel the need to get flowers go with a single rose or maybe something other than roses. Good luck!!

I think that you've done plenty, maybe add a sweet card. But, if you insist on getting her flowers, instead of buying her any cut flowers, buy her a rose bush at Home Depot, they are not expensive, tell her to plant it, and watch your Love grow. Never send a lady cut flowers, they die.

I wouldn't get her flowers! I would be quite happy with what you bought. Just the fact that you took the time to fill it up with music that she likes is awesome. I don't know many guys that would go to that extreme and do something as thoughtful as that! Good for you, you rock and she is one lucky girl!!

i think she will totally understand if you don't get her the flowers. now if you screw up between now and then, you must get her the flowers. you were loving enough to take time and download all her favorite songs, she will love you for that. flowers aren't always needed. good luck

Is she the type that is going to want roses as well as the iPod? If so then yes by all means get her the roses. If not, then no.
