wow whoever says afi are sellouts should probably stop and ask themselves what am i listening to?
little quiz for ya how long have afi been a band? oh yeah 15 years
kind of a long time to make it as far as they did as opposed to other bands and acts that get there in a year (i.e. my chemical romance, james blunt, fall out boy) they did it all themselves so i think if anything they deserve credit and are rightful to what they have right now. afi will be one of those bands you will hear years from now because they have dedication to themselves and fans. and even if they arent around i know that there will at least be thousands who still listen to their music.

You should look up to the man "Dan D" up here. ^^
Bands and people change, you can't expect them to be the same. And most AFI fans expected the changes anyway from album to album. We knew it was going to sound different because that's what they've always done in their earlier albums.
By making "questions" like these and calling them cocky, you just make people think you're just another ignorant hater.
And attacking CombattCandii won't make people take you seriously either.
Just live with it. It's their lives and they're the band. And most AFI fans are happy that they found their success anyway. They deserve it, more than any other band.
Please stop this because it's immature and noone will take you seriously. You will be looked down apon.

i will read into this,
your are a jack a** for saying things about AFI and CombatCandii, do you even know them, probably not because you sit down and judge people because they stick up for people, do the things they love, and stuff, so how DARE YOU!!!!!!!! do that. so you better turn you life around before this question is going to turn you into the person you will hate, and end up going to hell.
AFI AREN'T COCKY, YOU ARE!!!!!!! i think you are a DRAG QUEEN, obsess about things you shouldn't, just do something better. i think you should see a therapist, because you have some issues you need to work out.
CUT IT OUT, YOU BIG FAT A** JERK!!!!!

What I personally think is that AFI has,and always had an amazing talent to put extremly meaningful lyrics with kick@$$ music.Have you really ever taken the time to even try to interpret one of their songs?and what if there cocky, you'd be cocky too if you spent 15 years slowly crawling your way into a status where people actually know who they are!

I read you're other post and let me just say, before i read you're other post, i was willing to just give my personal opinion on the band and say nothing negative, but once i got to you're other post, you were ratting on EVERYONE. Why would you say AFI has no love for their fans? How do you know? Do you know the band personally? I doubt it. And Bob Bryar being too fat? No one cares how big he looks! He doesn't even look fat. This country is filled with obese people, watch the news and it'll tell you, Bob is not one of these obese people. And Gerard Way being the next Michael Jackson that likes to play with kids? That's just stooping to a new low. Get over yourself.

I used to hate when bands changed and went from something that I loved to something different, but you can't be mad at someone or a band for wanting to expand their fan base and write different music. I guess you might say that I used to be one of those "punk-rock elitists," but that forces you to be narrow minded. Not to say that they shouldn't remain humble (personally I think that's very important), but they should take pride in the fact that they went from nothing, to having a huge cult following, to main-stream success. In my opinion, AFI's best albums, in order, are:
Art of Drowning
Sing the Sorrow
Black Sails in the Sunset
The older stuff is more angry and raw, the newer stuff is....I don't know, just different, but as long as there are people that enjoy it, they should keep writing music they like to play.

They're a great band.
For a band who's "been here and done that" and STILL making music after all these years is an achievement.
They used to represent Eastbay Harcore-punk, man. That's how good they were back in the day. You should respect them more.

You know maybe if you had open minded reasons for disliking MCR and AFI, maybe you would be taken more seriously. and attacking me is only digging yourself in deeper.
