maybe he isnt sure about what that way could do to you, if im thinking the same things that you are. so find out the pros and cons from that way and talk to him about why you want it there.

The best way to get an answer to that is to ask him directly.
My answer is I am sure he has a good reason for it and we cannot force people to do things they do not wish to do. :)
