Yes, Merkglide, what you say about body language is VERY valuable, but if yawns are contagious like laughter, and continue all evening, then more than one way to discribe it might come in handy?

Why would you want to write the actual sounds of a yawn.
Can't you just describe the quirky facial features and stretching involved in the individual people yawning.
