i wouldn't call it a trend, just people wearing what they want to wear.
everyone wears black shirts, but that's not a trend, its just a shirt that someone wanted to wear that day!!

well as frued once said with every joke their is a bit of truth hense which makes it funny. people who wear t shirts with funny saying on it are either striving for attention, want to make a statement, or if you are an unfortunate soul like my husband his wife bought him all his tshirts with the funny sayings on it and he is forced to wear them.
