it's about any software we can find it in the internet which will increase the wireless range at home.

It's not a software issue, solely hardware capabilities. New wireless networks have extended ranges, such as Wireless G Speedbooster (from Linksys, or similar from another company) and Wireless N. In order for these to work, a wireless access point AND card are required. Computers do NOT come normally equipped with these.

Another thing you can do is purchase a range extender. It's similar to an access point except it doesn't connect via Ethernet. It picks up wireless connections and rebroadcasts them, making them much stronger if between the card and access point.

Generally the issue with wireless networks is with the wireless card in the notebook or computer. They lack the powerful transmitter like the router has. Communications are both ways, if one end is lacking then it will effect both. Your router may be doing fine, but since the wireless card is able to fully communicate with the router you will not be able to connect or have a degraded connection.

You can try to replace the antenna of the router, but if it is related to the wireless card then it wont help much. This is where you would need a repeater. You install a repeater closer to where your computer is stationed. If possible, you can replace the antenna of the wireless card. This is not always an option though.

All these other answers are for increasing your range by only a few feet. You haven't stated how far you want to transmit. You can transmit 20miles on a factory(unaltered) linksys router with a clear line of sight(los). Of coarse you can ourchase wifi antennas with a higher db rating. Most antennas that come with your factory router are about 2db. My company sells antennas efrom 2db to 30db and higher. You may contact me at sales@sylantech.com for more questions and I can tailor a small or large wireless network extension system to you. Don't think that sharing your network connection with your family a few blocks away is expensive. It's cheap considering the money it would save you. If you just want to increase the range within your home. You can change your antennas to 9db omni directional dubber ducky antennas on the router and one on the remote computer(if the antenna is removable). But no, software can't extend your range, but don't try to download those tweaked fireware files changed by others, they could damage your equipment. If you need further help just email me. thanks

Software has nothing to do with the ability of your hardware to broadcast a stronger electrical signal. Anything you find on the Internet that says differently is BS.

You can however get signal boosters for your wireless router (basically bigger antennae) and you can also get a wireless repeater to place in your house to increase the signal.

Get a BIGGER antenna. Some router has removable antenna so you can buy a bigger one and connect it. Some router has a fixed antenna. In that case, you're out of luck. Also, there are two or three types of connectors when buying external antenna so you want to purchase the correct one or buy an adapter.

This is something you can't do through software, although you can try updating the drivers for the WiFi cards in the computers, but a better solution is to get better antennas for your WiFi router.

make specific the router's channel is desperate to the optimal point. each so often whilst configuring the router, for risk-free practices motives the channel potential is decreased, maximum well known to a decrease variety of the sign. regardless of if it relatively is already @ max, i will propose having a million router on the best floor and yet another on the floor floor. make considered one of them simply by fact the gateway, different its baby. with 2 router's attitude, the only downside is you may no longer flow freely (in between downloads, video chats and so on) in the homestead (vertically), simply by fact the laptops will might desire to get related to a distinctive n/w.

Get a signal amplifier or an antenna. There is no software that can increase your signal strength.

A lot of routers, at least the several i have worked with, have something when you log onto the router (please tell me you know how to do that!!!!), will allow you to add extra power to the output to help it reach further...
