I have already called my doctor and spoke with a nurse and she said that all is fine but I don't feel fine and I told her this. I am on birth control and for the last few days I have had spotting and some tugging sensations in my lower abdomen. I am also having strong cramps on my right side and sometimes in the middle but it is mainly on my right side. I am worried and scared because my doctor seems to not be taking this serious. I don't know if this is normal or not but I have been spotting for the last three days it comes and goes but I can't get it to stop. I don't know what to do, any help would be really nice. Thanks

it has gone from brownish bleeding to light red with mucus, and is now a copper color

Its normal for birthcontrol. Just because you've never had it doesnt meant diddly squat. You will have break through bleeding from time to time when on the pill, it simply means your uterus is shedding some of its lining when it decides to instead of when on the placebo.

It may be your body's reaction to this particular birth control product. I did the same when I went from the Pill to the Shot. It only lasted a month and it was eased by (of all things) chocolate. Also for those on the Depo Shot, If you want to bring on a monthly, eat chocolate, my Dr recommended that!

The copper color is old blood, it could be risidual from you previous period, anytime you have brownish color at the beginning it is old blood and towards the end means your period is stopping this is really common if you use tampons during your period.
