Well I have rotton labours (13 hours, then 19!), but my sister beat the record with 4 days!! No kidding, she was contracting on and off for the whole time, but the hospital wouldn't accept her until the contractions were just 10 minutes apart. I had my last two the easy way (section), but I still vividly remember the pain!

I am so sorry. I am one of the lucky ones, my first was just over 12 hours from first felt contraction to having the baby and about 25 minutes of pushing, My second was 10 hours from first felt contraction and less than 5 minutes of pushing. I've heard alot of long labor horror stories and I am so sorry you had to go through that I wouldn't wish that on anyone. First was 7lbs 13 oz, and my second was 9lbs 4 oz.

I started having contractions on Friday, but they weren't very painful and were about 12 min apart. They stayed that way all throught the weekend. I went to my doctor Monday for a regular check up, and I was only at a 2, and the hospital I went to (military) wouldn't admit me until I was at a 4. Monday evening my contractions started getting closer and more painful, and after feeling them all night, I went to the hospital, but I still wasn't at a four so they sent me home. I didn't sleep at all that night because my contractions were about 7 min apart, so everytime I would start to relax and doze off, I would have another. Finally I went back to the hospital at 5 am Wed morn and they admitted me. I stayed in labor all day, but by 6 pm, I was only at a 7, so the doctors started talking about giving me a c-section. My son was born at 8:30 pm by cesarean after I was deemed "failure to progress". So, I was in labor for about 47 hours, I guess, from Monday evening, when they really started getting painful and closer together until I had him.
No telling how long I would have been in labor if they had given me the c-section...=(

I am very sorry. That sounds awful. I am embarassed to say less than 6 hours total with all 3. I mean that each labor once contractions started with each was approx. 2 hours per child.
Now my mom had 36 hours (me), 20 hours with the second and 46 hours with the third. Oh my brother that was only 20 hours was 10 pounds 5 ounces. My brother was delivered vaginally and my mom is 5'3" and before getting pregnant 115 pounds. The one that was 46 was that long because they gave her drugs to help with the labor (she didn't have them with the 1st 2) and it slowed her labor down. They had to give her something later to speed them back up. My brother ended up with the unbilical cord wrapped around his neck 3 times. That is another reason it took so long.

I wasn't in labor for my first though I had false labor for twelve hours. I had a cesarean. With my second I was in labor for six hours.
I don't know anyone who has been in labor for 43 1/2 hours...though I did have a friend who was in labor for 36 and then had to have an emergency c-section.
You definitely have had a memorable experience!
