Does it happen in every position, or only certain ones? If its only from a certain position, it may be that he's banging against your ovary or hitting the side of your cervix.

You should certainly mention this to your doc at your next appointment, but chances are that if its only intermittent and can be avoided by avoiding certain positions, that would be the case.

Pain during intercourse can be caused by several things. First of all, if you are recently wed and had other sex partners prior to your spouse, it could be caused by pelvic inflammatory disease. (sorry, had to get that out of the way first).

But, is the pain every time you have deep penetration or only at certain times of the month? If it is not every time, you could must be sensitive prior to and during ovulation when the cervix actual opens and descends down. If this is the case, change your sexual position to one that is more comfortable.

The only other cause that I can think of is endometriosis. If you have painful periods in addition to this pain, you could have calcification of your uterine lining that has leaked out and attached outside of your uterus, this can cause pain during intercourse. You should see your gynecologist and have an ultrasound. If you have this, they can remove the calcifications through laparoscopic surgery.

That would be your cervix he has found and it's normal for it to be there. You uterus may be tilted slightly (normal nothing to worry about) and that's why he feeling the "block" on one side. If it's causing pain try a different position or don't go as deep.

Yes, I know. It is one of the kinds of pain I have during intercourse. I went to an OB/GYN for it, and he told me my uterus was 'tilted', and so the penis can hit it but also, it can be moved or gone around sometimes. Sound familiar? Just taking more time with foreplay, or not going as deep, or moving it are the possible solutions given me. Good luck.

I am guessing he has hit the end of the road, so to speak. The cervix is not meant to allow penile penetration, so thats probably it.

It could be a number of problems. But you should probably go to the dr. and not try and seek medical advice on YA.

You need to see your gynecologist for an exam. It could be a cyst on an ovary. That happened to me too.

If he's very long he might be penetrating your uterus.
