I really do think it depends on the person. My sister and I use it and you really couldn't tell she wears foundation it looks VERY natural, I also use it and I always get compliments on my skin but I personally think I don't look as natural as her.

I use Bare Minerals, and I think it's great. I still have bad acne, as well as really oily skin, and it works the best out of anything I've ever tried. The coverage is really great. I use the powder foundation from Bare Minerals, and then I use the goo kind of concealer that I just buy from the grocery store as cover up, and then on top I put Corn Silk translucent no color powder. I really like the brushes that I have from Bare Minerals, I use the Baby Buki brush to put on the foundation. I have some other products from them, like eyeshadow and stuff, and they're nice, but I think that regular brands you can get at the grocery store or Target or whatever work fine too. I guess what I'm saying is that their brushes and foundation are the best part.
If you want to try something like Bare Minerals (powder mineral foundation) but don't want to pay the high prices, then I think that there are lots of other brands out there. Just be sure that they don't have any talc or any other bad stuff in them. If you have oily skin, the powder mineral type of foundation is SO wonderful. All the liquid foundation that I've tried before would just start to slide off my face after a bit. It was gross. But with this stuff, if I want to like touch up my face, I can just take a dry finger and tap at the area I want to "fix" and it just smooths right out, it's great! When I would try to do that with liquid foundation, the makeup would just all come off on my finger and not stick on my skin.
I think that they often have pretty good deals on Bare Minerals, I think on QVC maybe? Where they have like sets you can get, or they give you bonus items. I have 2 cases from them, and they're really nice.
Good luck! :)

I LOVE the stuff! You can get it at Costco for 40.00. The coverage is great - you can mix a bit with water to make a concealer. It does cover well - the trick is the product called Warmth - it really makes your skin look alive. Its easy to use, non-scented, and well worth it. I don't like the brushes too well - those are cheaply made - my bristles fall out all over the place. However, I've used Clarins, Lancome, Chanel foundations, and by far, Bare Minerals has been the best.
They offer a 60 day money back guarantee - buy the product with a credit card - if you don't like it, return it, and if you get any grief, just call your credit card company and they should reverse the charges.

I've been using Bare Minerals make-up for a while now, and I love it! It really does feel weightless on your skin and you really can tell a difference on your face. Some people do have an allergy to this type of make-up, though, and I'm sure that if you do, then the company will take the product back and give you some sort of a refund.

I haven't tried the Bare Minerals, but I did order a sample kit from everydayminerals.com and I really loved it. I just ordered a starter kit from them. It feels really light and it makes your skin look really good. I had some acne on my forehead and it didn't upset my skin, and it even went away after I haD used it for a few days.
Order a sample from them. It's free and you only have to pay for shipping (under $4).

I use it and it is great for oily skin.
If you have drier skin or if you have combination skin, just make sure that you moisterize before you put it on, otherwise it'll make your skin look flaky.
The concealer really does work, and unlike other concealers where you have like a slightly different colored spot surrounded by your foundation, this one blends really well. I get red bumps on my chin, and they are completely hidden with this stuff. No red at all...
The warmth is best in summer because it kind of works like a bronzer. I have really fair skin so in the winter I don't use it so much because it makes my face a hair too dark. But in the summer it makes me look like I have a sunkissed glow.

I love Bare Minerals. It lasts all day long. They sell this on Sephora and QVC.... It covers my acne wonderful. Highly recommend this product. Does not leave your skin oily like others do. Give it a try. You will be happy.....

i really like the bare minerals. i don't know that it would cover up bad acne scars like the infomercials claim it would, however it does cover my red blotches quite well. i recommend it, as it does make my skin look smoother and much more even.

i take advantage of bare minerals and it extremely works tremendous! i'd not reccommend it for someone who needs to discover something that ought to conceal severe zits or darkish spots. that is tremendous at enhanceing your organic attractiveness. extremely well worth the money.

judging by some of the answers, it seems its different for a lot of skin types. its worked well on me to cover my red cheeks & acne scars. so i'd recommend getting it, or atleast get one of the travel sizes just to try it.
