I have tried paint thinner and it didn't work. I think it is strange that washing doesn't get it out because it is water-based paint. Any suggestions? It is my favorite shirt and got paint on it at a birthday party my kids went to.

There is a product called 'Goofs - Off' that breaks down water based paint. I have used it on furniture and my painted woodwork. And on fabric but, right after I got paint on it. Try it. I hope it's not too late.

The cotton probably absorbed the pigments. It may be time to find a pin or patch or button to cover the spot. good luck.
