First do you plan to continue doing this on a larger scale? If you do then a D/B/A would definitely put you in a better place. With it you can get your business bank account and keep track of all your profits (which you should be paying taxes on) each States rule vary as do the counties in them. Time in under your business name will look very good if in the future you wish to get a loan from a lender (like myself) or from a bank. You will have the appearance of being established!

if you are under sixteen i wouldn't worry about it no matter how many lawns you cut. indeed, since you cannot legally sign a contract before eighteen, you really cannot be considered a regular business entity until then.
