I want to start listening to techno....?

But I'm not exactly sure where to start. Any artists/songs recomended?

If it sounds anything like what J.P. was listening to in the movie Grandma's Boy, that a definite PLUS. It sounded really cool!

Oh, and as for "allisonmccullough4" a few answers down, I know it sounds like that, but it's not. It's just I heard it in some places, and I'd like to hear more. But I don't know many people who listen to it, so I'm just wondering what's good.

Well first off it's called Electronica now techno grew in the last decade into all kinds of different groups. Some people call techno "vocal trance" but "vocal trance" sounds nothing like trance.

I recommend the website http://www.ministryofsound.com and www.djmag.com you can listen to streaming radio broadcasts, watch videos, check out who's hot, etc.

"Techno" is a genre of Electronic music, among MANY others like House, Trance, Electroclash, Breakbeat, Psy-Goa, etc.

I recommend that you start listening to EDM radio on-line. Begin by listening to a Techno station for a few days, then move on to a Trance station, and so on. Until you identify the type of music that you like.
