He's never bought you a single thing?? Not even a gumball? It's hard for me to imagine that you've dated someone for an entire year and he's never bought you anything.

Are you materialistic? Does it matter if he bought you something or not. My boyfriend and I have been going out 5 and a half years it's not about gifts it's about love and time together and how he makes you feel. Does it bother you that he has never bought you anything? Have you ever bought him anything?

Seriously some people feel loved by being given presents. If you feel this way let him know that he should, but make sure that freebies count. (Once I gave a girl a home made coupon book, it had stuff in it like a coupon for a back rub, or a hug. ) Or you might try giving him some cool freebies and see if he is doing similar.

My suggestion: wait till eventually u get married youd b wayyy better effective off bcause convinced now u imagine that if something occurred he'd be ceremony theree 4 u yet what about at the same time as he is going 2 college or he/you opt on that you dont decide on 2 b 2gether anymore then what? so its best if u have a sturdy existence major different who'll extremely b there 4 u

Well first of all, how old are you? Secondly, is your boyfriend working? Does he have other responsibilities and priorities? (kids for example) Are you continuously buying things for him?

It's a problem if you're shallow and materialistic.
If you simply enjoy each others' company and care about each other, then it's no problem.
