I am having symptoms of pregnancy, sore breasts, always tired, always hungry but the last time I was pregnant I had an AMAZING sense of smell. I've heard that smoking decreases your ability to smell...Can I be pregnant and not be able to smell everything? I am a smoker!

I'm not pregnant right now...I would never smoke while pregnant. I just want to know if its possible or not.

Smoking can affect both your smell and taste. However, you should be more concerned about being pregnant and harming your baby by smoking. Take a pregnancy test asap, and if it's positive, stop smoking! I did this 20 years ago and never went back to it...our children should be more important to us than a nicotine fix!

When i got pregnant with my son i couldnt smoke anymore the smell of the smoke and the taste would make me gag but smoking does affect the taste buds and the smell sensors in the nose so yeah you could be and not be able to smell but i know that i quit with my son and have not gone back so if you are pregnant try to quit because a baby born addicted to anything is hard whether its nicotine or crack the withdrawal is all the same so take a test and try to quit if you are good luck on all the above

I stopped smoking the day I found out I was pregnant, alot of people say that smoking doesnt hurt the baby, but I wasnt going to take the chance. I would think of the baby before yourself.

If you have missed a cycle than your chances of being pregnant are good. Smoking does effect your smell. Please confirm if you are from a doctor. Smoking during pregnany is not good for your unborn baby and could cause problems.
