My friend is 17 and she has a brother and a sister, and she really hates her family to the maximum extreme. She talks about wanting to commit suicide and stuff like that, but i don't know if she really means it. When i go over to her house, her parents fight about once a day, but over all, i love her family. I've known her for 7 years and i know that she's lucky. She has a family that really cares for her. Should i talk to her, or possibly call someone because of her suicidal ideas?

Yes. Sit down and talk to her. Try to understand why she feels this way. If she is serious, she needs help and you can help her to see this. You are a good friend. Good luck!

If your friend talks about suicide and stuff like that, she obviously has it on her mind. The question would be is, would she actually go through with it, if she were to be pushed too far. You should talk to her about what's going on and ask how you can help. Try to laugh about stuff, it may seem unreasonable at the time, but laughing boosts endorphines levels, which makes a person happy. If she still talks about suicide talk to a parent maybe not hers, or your own, but don't mention names. It's a very personal thing.

Talk to her and find out what the problem is if she will tell you. Sometime it deeper than what you think. If she is still having thoughts of suicide then she needs help and should talk to a professional.
