Kerrang magazine and NMe both have spaces to advertise for band members in the backs of the magazines - even i read them and i dont play any instruments!

Also, look on the internet - forums, look on music magazine/tv websites! These are what I can think of are the best places to start.

Or advertise in your local area - newsagent windows etc.

You can get a free advert if you put one in Total Guitar. I would also recommend placing an ad in a music magazine, you don't say what sort of band it is? Kerrang! and NME are probably the two most popular music mags in the UK, I'd give them a shot but it'll cost you around £25 for a small ad.

Most local Music Stores have bulletins boards just for this purpose. Or put an ad in the local Newspaper under the "Wanted" section.

forums of bands that are your impacts; this kind, you entice those who ought to decide on to play a similar kinds as you, and also those who you would have music in hardship-loose with. Going to gigs and spreading the note there is also a stunning good idea.

Yep, record stores and musical instrument stores usually have bulletin boards.

RHCP used the newspaper.

Music stores (that sell recorded music) or Musician's stores (that sell instruments and musical supplies).
