So, I started with a through cleaning of the sink... But noticed that
the cupboard above the sink was not at all good: stains on the doors, on door knobs, door-knobs greyish instead of yellow. I started on it.
When I did the doors, I opened them to do their rims, and noticed that the inside was not white but somewhat stained. So, I removed
everything from the cupboard, and cleaned the inside. Then I cleaned all the things that were inside, put them to dry on the table, and noticed that the side of it, the one near the stove, was all covered on oil spots. I started on the sports. Did them, and then looked up and saw that the cooking hood was greasy inside too, and spotty, so I did the inside and then the outside. While doing it, I looked behind the stove, and the wall out there which is hard to reach, was not good as well. But I did not have strength to do it, so I just out everything back into the cupboard, washed the top of the table, scrubbed the floor, because while I

washed other things, water and
washing liquid splashed down. Then I looked at the all the nooks and
there are plenty of more dirty areas and things, and on the whole it
does not even look as if I cleaned at all.
So, I sit now here, thinking about it, and about the spots that I did
not clean, and it seems that the more I clean the more dirty spots are
out there. And I spent hours on that cleaning, and it's not even clean!
Is it the same with you?

kinda scary isn't it?...you start on one small thing and you just keep finding more things that are in need of cleaning.....i swear it never ends...just tackle one thing at a time and remember.....one person can only do so much in one day!!!

All too true! You should break the job down into smaller sections and don't try to do it all at once. Also work form the top down as gravity ...well you know already! Some dirtier areas may need a second or third going over and I usually rinse with clean water (with a sponge) and then wipe dry with clean rags or paper towels. You might consider hiring a professional cleaner, look under "janitorial services" in the yellow pages. What about a little help from friends or relatives?

I'm with ya there! I clean one thing, then realize something else needs cleaning because of the contrast. I even painted my kitchen cabinets last year, and you can't tell anymore because there's no vent hood over the stove. I wipe down the washer and dryer, and within a week it's dirty again. I swear it's a 24/7 job. And don't even get me started on the dust. We live in a dusty town so having a window open and poof, dusty again.
