The fact is that liberals are very close to communist. Free healthcare for all. Taxing the people who make the most money to take of those that are needy. They also want no religion, and abortion as a form of birth control. To me this sounds alot like China.

You have communism confused with socialism. Communism is a few rich people with the wealth dictate law for the benefit of themselves. Socialism is all people supporting everyone else in society. The far right=communism, the far left=socialism. We're somewhere in the middle...kinda.

Calling people communists and socialists seems to be a favorite tactic of the Republicans these days, not Democrats. You can pull up a hundred questions just from this forum in the last week that clearly show that to be true. I've heard this Adminstration compared to Nazi Germany, which is ludicrous, but this is the first time I've seen it suggested that anyone calls conservatives communists.

Free healthcare? It isn't free, most Universal Health Care Plans operate from a combination of public AND private funding. Taxing rich people to help care for the needy is a communist thing? I though that was just good morals. Or should we just keep taxing the middle class to death and let them pay for it instead so Joe Blow Corporate can have the extra chump change to pay for whatever new toy blows his skirt up? I think the American people have little interest in protecting the rich, they're doing just fine. No religion? Ridiculous. Being a liberal doesn't equal "no religion" and it's nothing but slanderous b.s. to suggest it does. If it were only liberals who supported pro-choice, and no one I know thinks of it as "birth control," girls would once again be seeking out back alley abortionists. There are plenty of Republicans, conservatives included, that are pro-choice. Some of them are smart enough to know that denying abortion rights is going to result in a domestic quagmire that will hurt our economy and force us to support and care for even more unwanted children than we have now. Personally, I think everyone who is so rabidly against abortion rights should be required to adopt an unwanted child. That way, their position becomes less precarious and they actually have a leg to stand on when preaching to others about it. China? Please. This is the United States, where we have a choice in these matters. Just because you don't like the choices that are on the table doesn't make those who oppose them or support them communists in any case. McCarthyism died an ignoble death, let's let it lie in peace shall we?

Sparky, the far right is communism? Are you serious? Communism is a few rich people dictate law for the benefit of themselves? Where exactly did you learn this? The only correct statements you have are that socialism is an ideology of the left and that communism and socialism are not the same thing. Communism is an extreme form of socialism. Karl Marx, along with Fredrich Engels, developed the idea of Communism and published their treatise as the Communist Manifesto. Both Marx and Engels were ardent socialists. For the sake of brevity, the main difference between pure Socialism and pure Communism is the amount of state control over companies and assets. Both have most services provided by the government, e.g., welfare, disability, medical care, and pensions. However, Socialism does allow for some privately owned business and allows private ownership of land. Under pure Communism, and I do emphasize pure Communism, the state controls everything. There are no private companies and the government owns all of the land. Everyone is given a job he is supposedly best suited for, there is no choice in the matter, and instead of receiving a salary, you receive what you need to live from the government, e.g., housing, food, clothes.

Communism is a form of government as far to left as possible and is not related in any way, shape, or form to philosophies of the right.

Anyone who tells you conservatives are communists has no concept of what communism is.

first, i dont think i have ever seen a liberal (at least not an intelligent one) call a conservative a communist. fascists maybe, but not communist. secondly, i think you are way off base saying liberals are close to communism. you focus on 2 or 3 things, but you forget about the lack of free enterprise, loss of private property and personal rights, and the absence of a democratic government. yes, liberals want to help the poor...if that makes you communist, then so be it. and nobody thinks there should be no religion...it just shouldnt be forced on people in public places, an ideal that was preached about regularly by our founding fathers. i dont think you would accept a statue of satan inside your city hall, so why should pagans and atheists be forced to see christian statues? do you ever turn the tables and think about stuff like that? either way, you are way off base calling anybody in this nation communist.

i do not imagine maximum republicans do. that is the extremely conservatives, and Y/A trolls, who pick to scream 'liberal' at everyone who would not accept as true with them. Labels are ineffective. maximum human beings are liberal on some topics and conservative on others. There are liberals, conservatives and moderates in all political activities. that is the 24/7 information entrainment networks which have human beings questioning that they should be one hundred% conservative to sign in with the republican celebration or probability being called a RINO. all of it very stupid. i'm a economic conservative and a social lifelike. I actually were 'categorised' a dreaded liberal because i did not vote for G W Bush.c

I have never heard a liberal refer to conservatives as communists. They more often refer to them as fascists. Also, what you are describing in your question is not communism, it is closer to socialism.

So you feel that the wealthiest country in the world should not care for the health, education, or welfare of its citizens? Everyone just fend for themselves, and God help you if you get sick, because we sure won't.

There are a lot of religious liberals. They just don't want our government involved in or mandating religious beliefs. I do not know what communism has to do with being pro-choice or not, China does a lot of things I don't agree with, and none of it is related to communism or socialism.

Finally, I agree with you that the wealthy should stop supporting the needy. So all the wealthy states like New York, New Jersey, California, Connecticut, Massachusets, Maryland, New Hampshire, Delaware should no longer have to support these poorer southern states that are too lazy to take care of themselves.

the definition is irrelevant-"communist" in this case is being used purely as an insult. They might as well say "a$$hole". Of course the communists weren't even really communists. It was/ is closer to a strict form of socialism. England is a socialist country, to an extent. So is Canada. In the US the word "Socialism" was really demonized by the conservatives back in the 50's so that it became equated to those red, commie, satanic Russian bastards. For better or worse, it stuck. I digress. Have Fun!

I never called anyone a communist. My liberal beliefs are closer to communism than conservative beliefs. The idea of communism is a good one, where all people share equally and look out for one another, just does not work well as a way to run a country, as it provides no motivation to succeed.

The fact that anyone is calling anyone in this country a communist shows how ridiculous we all are.

You included.

There is no communism in this country. Communism is an outdated idea, left over from the Cold War.

Come into the 21st Century with the rest of us.
