Not that I asked for opinions on the shoes themselves, but work dress code requirements are that shoes must be closed-toe and with backs. I'm on my feet all day and often have to dress up, too. So sorry, but flip-flops won't cut it.

I own a pair of these shoes and, while they're not the sexiest shoes out there, they're super comfortable for when you're on your feet all day.

I find that they look a little funny with traditional socks, however. I've taken to wearing them with stockings or tights instead. This way they're more comfortable but don't look silly.

Even a taller sock, like a knee high or an over the knee, seems to look better, preferably in a bright color or a dark black or brown.

A white athletic sock with these shoes just looks awful! And any of my ankle socks are just too much with them. (Although if you're wearing pants it probably doesn't matter since you wouldn't see them.)

or just skip those shoes all together and get some flip flops or uggs or something not totally ugly.
