At the time of the Bible being written,that was the assumption( to all four corners of the earth)which a thousnd years later or so was pretty much proven to be untrue,,and look how many "bright" people take that book to be absolutely true, so go figure, I'm sure there are a lot of folks that can be persuaded to "believe" most anything...
