Bush gave his 2008 spending agenda to Congress. It's dead on arrival. Congress must down start the process of setting spending levels for that year. According to Bush he wants to spend $2.9 trillion. This would be a 4.2 percent increase over 2007 spending.

Bush would have a $61 billion surplus by 2012. The last surplus was in 2001. Which Bush and The Republican Congress squandered into a national debt of $9 trillion in the next ten years. Red ink that working class tax payers must pay.

Tax payers spend $20 billion per year on farm subsidies. Is this welfare? I say yes. Bush wants to save $18 billion over 5 years. Bush also drops farm subsidies (welfare) for those making over $200,000 per year. In the last 5 years total taxes went up not down for all middle class tax payers. The Repubs. like to lie and say they went down.

Medicaid cuts will never fly. This does not even save money, it just passes the cost down to the states, which cuts services to the disabled. F**k you, George. I'm on my way to Washingotn.

It is disturbing that Bush has made funding cuts in care for the elderly and law enforcement, two issues important to the middle class, while maintaining tax cuts for wealthier Americans.
In Bush's proposal, only the middle class must make sacrifices for the war expenses.
If I recall correctly, the budget amount for the war was more than you stated. It total over 10% of the budget.

Sorry, you are wrong on every point. You are just spewing liberal propaganda. Do you want to pay more taxes? some of that tax cut was yours you know. Will you cut money to our troops? That doesn't sound supportive to me. It's funny to me that liberals rant about Bush's out of control spending (we agree there) but they want to kill the spending on the most important things. By the way, if I paid taxes, I deserve to get my fair cut of any refunds, no matter how much I make. Stop trying to wage class warfare.

Just wanted you to know that many of us don't respond to rants and political speeches, except for people just like you and that is just signing to the choir and gets you no where. Just pisses the rest of us off.
