1st add x to each side
2 > 5 + x
move the 5 to the left

2-5 > x
-3 > x or x < -3 this is the answer

Solve: 2 - x > 5

First: isolate "-x" on one side --- subtract 2 from both sides (when you move a term to the opposite side, always use the opposite sign)....

2 - 2 - x > 5 - 2

- x > 3

Sec: the "a" variable has to be positive - change the signs & inequality sign...

x < - 3

2-x>5
2>5+x
2-5>x
-3>x
x= -4(since the value of negative numbers decreases
i.e.-1>-2>-3 & so on)
