Insight, a conservative magazine, stands by their story that the Clinton campaign was investigating allegations about Obama's Muslim upbringing.

The NY Times debunked the story, but it was not 100% clear whether they were talking about allegations regarding Obama, the story about the Clinton camp, or both.

So what's the story? And what's the track record for each publication?

Thanks.

Like any other political race, the opponents try to dig through the past. If they find anything even close to a dark past, they make a big deal out of it. Obama only went to school when he was a youngster for crying out loud. He is a grown man now and respects all religions. Plus the NY Time and CNN has debunked the rumor since they actually visited the school in Indonesia and it is not a school where they teach extremist idiology.

The sad thing about the early election period is hopeful candidates (both parties) will pick at and rip at other hopefuls. Then after the actual candidate is chosen all of a sudden they are all for that guy/gal.

Hopeful candidates can be a parties worse enemy.

Newspapers are often bias and or sensationalized. I don't trust them. I listen to NPR on the radio. They have different stations in different areas but much of the programming is shared. They seem to have the most factual and non bias information on any topic they cover.

You got it right. Stand back and watch the Clinton political machine in action. This was only the beginning.

PS--you won't get a straight story on an issue like this from a liberal news rag like the NY Times. They floundered on it because it's one of their own (Clinton) against one of their own
(Obama) and they just can't comprehend it.

Hillary Clinton wants to be prez to stop the Iraq war.
But if that happens it will not be a safe country to live in.

They absolutely were trying to smear them. I think Obama is doing very well by keeping his camp out of the negative ads that have been occuring lately. Bravo to him!
