I think knowledge and understanding of money starts on the personal level. Two books I recommend are: The Richest Man in Babylon ( very old book) and The Total Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey. www.daveramsey.com

I don't think any books like that will help. Either you want to learn finance (for which I would recommend college and not a couple of books), or you want to be an entrepreneur.

If you want to be an entrepreneur, the original idea is the most important thing. Some business management would be helpful, because the second thing you need to do is make a business model. Common sense can be used here to replace school--you need to see how much money would be coming in and going out. A lot of people miss the 'money coming in' part--you not only need a good product, you have to figure out how to sell it. Also, you have to watch the 'money going out' part as well--many people think they can add a small markup to a product to sell it, when their real expenses require a bigger markup. (I think most retail stores pay half what they charge for an item. They aren't ripping you off--it costs a lot to run a store!)

So, for finance inside out, get into a degree program at college, but for practical business, just think things through and look before you leap. Just don't be afraid to leap if it looks like you can make it.

What do you mean by "financially confused"? Like you don't know what to do with your money, career, or job?
