sounds like allergies, an antihistamine would probably benefit you the most. claritan would be a good one to try, you can get generic claritan (loratidine) really cheap and most people dont notice any side effects. other OTC antihistamines like benadryl or chlortrimeton would work too, but theyll likely make you drowsy

Clearing your head - a little horseradish on anything (most of them are strong)
This will hopefully decrease the coughing, running nose, and watery eyes because you wont have that unpleasant drainage.
But you will have to ride it out.

There is a product at your local drugstore called Theraflu which is over the counter. There are a couple of formulas and it is a lot like hot lemonade when you mix it, except that there is a mild antihistamine and some pain killer in it (like Tylenol) and it works! See if you can take it; if you are not on any serious meds you probably can. It gives relief so you can rest!
Be sure to take a lot of liquids, too; so your cold can run its course quickly.

I think this may be more of a preventative suggestion but maybe try Airborn. It is natural/herbal and it boosts your immune system. I take 1 tablet every other day and have yet to catch a cold this winter..best part is NO side effects like drowsiness etc.etc. I really like it and I believe that it works as it should.

I like NyQuil but I think a week in the Cayman Islands would be more fun.

I am not sure to get rid of it, but to keep it under control, I take Benadryl for allergies and sinus to keep these symptoms under control. Good luck!!
