Game was dedicated to the victims of Florida tornadoes with no mention of our military fighting overseas in the opening cerimony. That seems rather classless to me, considering the tornadoes were a freak weather anomoly that killed 40. Less people than are killed in accidents during any holiday weekend. In the meantime, men and women are serving their country in wartime and were not honored during the opening cerimony as the Star Spangle Banner was sung and the jets overflew the stadium. BOOOOOOOO

Oh, other then the long opening from an Iraq military base? When they did a whole segment with the troops in the background? I'm thinking you turned on your TV about 2 minutes before the game started.

Isn't a game a non-political event? Why is it that everything has to relate back to the war? We get images of our fighting men in the news, and all kinds of other media. A sporting event is not about politics, it is to take our minds off all the horrors of this war, and any other problems we have in our lives, whether it's a broken appliance or a family member overseas.

Everything doesn't have to be dedicated to the soldiers in Iraq/Afghanistan/Korea etc... (BTW my fiance's sister and her husband are in Korea at the DMZ, and will be deployed into Iraq probably late this year or early next year)

Did you miss the part with the satellite link directly in Baghdad? Did you miss them showing the troops during the National Anthem?

Hey i got an idea lets salute all the people who help the homeless. I saw a guy help an old lady across the street lets honor him at a game. Can we please have a memorial for every fire fighter in America? Enough of the damn troops

They had military color guards, fly overs, the Marine Corp Band, and a live feed from Baghdad during the national anthem. What else were you looking for?

Dude, they actually had the troops themselves in several shots.

I got an idea...you are so behind the war in Iraq and want to support the troops, go enlist and go fight. Stop hiding in America and condemning others who disagree with your stand on the war. Sign up, they will take you. The military is desperate for people like you. So head down to the enlistment station, super patriot. Do your duty.
