This 1 is tricky. Alrite take a look at ur motherboard. Try to look for the manual. Ur motherboard required power supply. If ur motherboard is a normal 1 with a ATX power supply will be enough then u no need to bother the 12V. But if u notice u need extra power to run ur motherboard which require u to plug another 4 pin square plug to motherboard u may consider to look for ATX powersupply with 12V option. SO there is 2 power cable for motherboard which require extra power.

All workstation circumstances have compatibility with matx and atx motherboards , micro motherboards are smaller and some are sensible as atx motherboards that are higher, the screws holes contained in the workstation circumstances have compatibility with both motherboard varieties so as that gigabyte ga-880gm-d2h mATX motherboard will artwork completely and if later decide on to flow with a atx motherboard not a situation in that cooler carry close haf 912 case

There is no difference. However, depending on the hardware you are going to install you need to make sure that you have enough 12V rails. SATA drives and the newer PCI-e video cards require more power than older systems.

You will want to make sure that you have enough SATA and 6-pin molex connectors for your hardware. Most ps units you by today that are 400w or more should have enough for you.
