intresting, a sound wave cannot travel in a vacuum since there are no particles. between b, c, and d, it travels the slowest in a gas due to the spacing between particles.

Well, sound technically doesn't travel through a vacuum, if that's what you were looking for. If you're looking for what sound actually TRAVELS through the slowest, then it would be gases.
